About Celiac Disease
Healthy Gluten-free Family wants you to be aware and informed about celiac disease

Celiac Disease is an autoimmune disease whereby the body can not digest gluten, a protein found in wheat, barely or rye. Even trace amounts of gluten can trigger a response that severely inhibits the body from absorbing the nutrients in food.

The only treatment for celiac disease is to adhere to a 100% gluten-free diet over a lifetime. That’s where Healthy Gluten-Free Family comes in: we want to share our experience living with a gluten-free diet and share the wonderful foods we enjoy. While this requires planning, it does not mean the end of enjoying tasty, easy-to-prepare meals that appeal to everyone in the family! Read more…
