Easy Basic Hummus
We eat a lot of hummus -- some are fancy and have lots of different flavors but sometimes we just want a classic, basic hummus. That's when we turn to this one. It takes mere minutes to make and is a crowd pleaser.

  • 1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • ½ c tahini
  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  1. Place all the ingredients except the olive oil in a food processor. Add the olive oil by streaming while mixing.
  2. Process until smooth and creamy.
  3. Adjust to tastes as desired.
