An easy gluten-free recipe for a protein-packed smoothie that tastes like chocolate covered berries!

Naturally gluten-free and dairy-free, this creamy smoothie tastes like chocolate covered berries and is nourishing, protein-packed, satisfying and so delicious!

Perfect for breakfast, snack or even dessert!

So let’s make it!

Here’s what you’ll need:

frozen blueberries

fresh strawberries (or other berries of choice)

fresh banana (I use only half)

almond milk (or milk of choice)

chocolate collagen powder or protein powder of choice (we use Primal Kitchen Chocolate Coconut – amazon affiliate link)

cocoa powder (I use Hershey’s 100% cacao unsweetened)

ground flaxseeds

hemp seeds

cinnamon

cayenne pepper (optional but adds a little spicy kick that I love!)

And all you do is you do is put all the ingredients in your blender according to your blenders instructions and blend!

Depending on how your blender works, you’ll put frozen ingredients in first or last.

We use a Nutribullet blender (amazon affiliate link) which we just keep on our counter because it is so compact.

After blending, serve with fresh berries, cacao nibs or plain and enjoy!

It will be creamy and chocolaty with a burst of berries!

Plus it’s packed with nutrients and protein to keep you full and satisfied!

Equipment

  • 1 High Speed Blender we use a a Nutribullet (amazon affiliate link)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries approximately 3 large or 4 small strawberries
  • ½ small banana
  • 1 cup almond milk or milk of choice I tend to use 3/4 cup almond milk, 1/4 cup water
  • 1 scoop chocolate collagen or protein powder we use Primal Kitchen chocolate collagen powder (amazon affiliate link)
  • 1 tablespoon cacao (unsweetened)
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
  • sprinkle cinnamon
  • sprinkle cayenne pepper (optional but recommended for a little spicy kick)
  • sprinkle cacao nibs for optional topping

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a blender according to your blender's instructions.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Top with cacao nibs or berries as desired. Enjoy!
