Super quick and easy recipe for the BEST Tomato Salsa! Just a few ingredients, 5 minutes to make and perfect for anytime snacking, Taco Tuesday, Cinco de Mayo, Game Day and entertaining!
So excited for you to try this Homemade Tomato Salsa!
It’s crazy easy to make, super fresh tasting, naturally gluten-free and tastes just like the restaurants!
Recipe from my Instagram friend Janae @cleanmondaymeals, we’ve been making it for the past year on repeat and I am so happy she’s letting me share it here with you!
Why make your own salsa?
To be honest, I never really saw the benefit of making our own salsa…. there are many great salsas on the market and we cook a lot already…
But over the last few years, we got spoiled purchasing the yummiest salsa from Boxcar Cantina at our local farmers market. Then during the height of the pandemic, we weren’t able to pick it up for a period of time and we were looking for a great salsa because isn’t chips and salsa just such a great snack?!
Ittasted just like the one we picked up at the farmer’s market!
Super fresh tasting, great flavor and my family devoured it!
Plus it took literally 5 minutes to make and you can adjust to taste if you want to.
So let’s make it!
All you need is 9 real food ingredients you probably already have in your pantry:
Canned whole tomatoes (I have also made it with the equivalent diced tomatoes)
garlic
white onion
jalapeno (it’s de-seeded so not spicy)
cilantro
lime
cumin
salt
sugar (just a touch!)
Literally all you do is place all these ingredients in a food processor and pulse it 12-15 times.
That’s it!
It could not be any easier and you end up with the most delicious salsa!
And I love that you can adjust to tastes… whenever you cook anything, but especially something so fresh, the flavor of the raw ingredients will vary a little so it’s nice to be able to add a bit more lime juice or cilantro or even salt to taste.
Who wants to taste test?
Server with your favorite gluten-free chips and it’s perfect anytime!
We love it for snacking, entertaining, Taco Tuesday and it’s perfect for Cinco de Mayo this week!
Plus it seem really impressive when you serve your own salsa but now you know the secret…. it’s easy!
And best part? It’s naturally gluten-free!
Hope you love it as much as we do!
