Grilled Tofu with Korean BBQ Glaze & Stir-Fried Napa Cabbage

Perfect combination of Sweet, Savory & Spicy

As you know by now, I’m a huge fan of tofu and like it prepared just about any way.  The rest of my family, not so much.  So I often make it for myself as a protein alternative when they enjoy some kind of chicken or beef.  But a real win is when I find a sauce or glaze or marinade that works for all of us!

This Korean BBQ sauce, recipe from Eating Well, is just that!  It’s the perfect combination of sweet, savory and spicy and a cinch to make. It had a ton of yummy flavor packed ingredients — peanut oil, red onion, garlic, ginger, scallions, soy sauce, gochujang (korean chili paste), chili powder, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, white miss and molasses — but comes together in less than 10 minutes!

I made the bbq sauce originally as a marinade and glaze for the tofu dish (also from Eating Well) but it was so delicious, I made the family try in with their grilled chicken.  It was a hit!  Next time, I would try marinating the chicken in the glaze as well for extra flavor. But I think this sauce would be yummy with pretty much anything!

If you like tofu, this dish with crispy grilled tofu marinated and topped with the Korean BBQ Glaze and served with a super easy (i.e. less than 10 minutes) Cabbage stir fry is out of this world!

 I marinated the Tofu for no longer than 30 minutes versus the recommend hours and it was still delicious.

We used Gluten-free Tamari in place of soy sauce.  Make sure the Gochujang paste you use is also gluten-free. We had no problem finding one.
