Of note, this is my first time using frozen cauliflower as a smoothie base (in place of frozen fruit) and I love it! You can’t taste the cauliflower but it gives a great creamy texture and is so nourishing!

And optional, I love to add ground flax seeds and chia seeds for extra nutrients.

In fact, one of the reasons I’ve fallen in love with smoothies in the past year is that I love all the “extras” you can add to them for some extra nutrients and fiber.

My personal feeling is that you can’t taste or notice the ground flax seeds at all so I always add them.

As for chia seeds, I find the make smoothies a bit thicker/ creamier and I prefer to only add a small quantity. But definitely play around and see what you like!

All you do is place the ingredients in your high speed blender according to your blender’s instructions and blend!

We use a Nutribullet blender (amazon affiliate link) which we just keep on our counter because it is so compact

It blends into a super creamy, gorgeous color and is so delicious!

And you can play around with the texture.

For a thicker texture, try using frozen banana instead of fresh banana.

For a thinner texture, use fresh bananas and feel free to add water and blend more. It’s really personal preference.

Either way, this healthy Pumpkin Pie Smoothie is super simple, nourishing, satisfying and so delicious!

Hope you love it as much as we do!
