I can’t recommend enough the basil vinaigrette recipe from The Black Dog Summer on the Vineyard Cookbook.Â It’s made with fresh basil, olive oil, canola oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic, salt & pepper, all mixed in a food processor or blender.

This easy summer salad is made of lettuce from our garden, fresh cherry tomatoes and mozzarella. With the BEST homemade basil vinaigrette, I make this all summer long and it’s always a crowd pleaser.
Super easy & very versatile… could jazz up any salad or even be used as a marinade. It’s also a great way to use up basil if, like some of us, you have it growing like crazy in the garden!
