If you follow me on Instagram Stories, you know I’ve joined my son on the smoothie train!

I used to only drink green juices but now I can’t get enough trying new smoothie combos!

My son’s go to smooothie is this Berry n’ Yogurt Smoothie.

We both love the new Blueberry Banana Smoothie,  and I can’t get enough of the Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie for dessert!

So it seemed only natural that I tried a green smoothie!

And I LOVE it!

It has become my favorite start to the day or post-workout snack.

It’s packed with nutrients and tastes amazing!

And I love the color!

Above are some of the shots from Instagram Stories…. the slight changes in color and consistency can be attributed to more or less liquid/ frozen mango/ celery… but it’s always delicious!

Quick note before looking at the ingredients…..

There is a cooking video on this page. If you are new to this website, there is a printable recipe with exact measurements and directions at the bottom of every recipe page.

So let’s take a look at the ingredients.

It’s just 8 ingredients.

All you need is:

Frozen Mango

Celery

Almond Milk (or Coconut Milk)

Hemp seeds (not necessary but adds nutrients and protein)

Flax Seeds (not necessary but adds nutrients and protein)

Fresh spinach

Crushed pineapple (if don’t have, add extra mango)

Fresh Ginger (optional but recommended!)

Let’s talk ginger for a moment…

I happen to love ginger and it cuts the sweetness of smoothies for me. You could certainly skip it!

If you’ve never purchased ginger, it’s in the produce section of the supermarket and you’re purchasing ginger root.

I always have some in our house because we use it in stir-fries, marinades, salad dressings and so many other recipes.

I cut off the skin before adding it to the smoothie.

Back to the Tropical Green Smoothie….

All you do is place all the ingredients in the blender according to your blender’s instructions and blend!

We use a Nutribullet blender (amazon affiliate link) which we just keep on our counter because it is so compact!

Then you can adjust to tastes and add more liquid if needed.

The one on the left is a bit thicker — it probably had a bit more frozen mango/ less almond milk.

The one of the right is a bit more liquid-y — it probably had more celery and or more almond milk.

You can play around with a consistency you love.

No matter the consistency you choose, hope you love it as much as we do!
